About Chatteris
Chatteris is a small market town with a strong sense of community and plenty of amenities including a dentist, doctors' surgery, 3 schools, a library, a gym, several public houses, garden centres, tea rooms and restaurants.
Chatteris boasts a weekly market, a number of recreation grounds and marked footpaths through the beautiful fenland countryside.
The community hosts an annual Midsummer Festival, an impressive Christmas lights display and switch on celebration and has won multiple gold awards in the annual "Anglia in Bloom" competition for its incredible flowers throughout the town.
The town has a brass band founded in 1882, Women's Institute, Rotary Club, Scouts club, Army Cadet Force and youth football team.
Both Ely and Huntingdon are around a 20 minute drive away and have train stations providing rail links to Cambridge, Peterborough and London. There are also bus routes to Ely, Cambridge, Huntingdon, St Ives and March.
Peterborough and Cambridge are both around a 30-40 minute drive away. Huntingdon provides access to the A14 and A1.
